After that, continue your trip to Summer Palace (without Boat Ride). After breakfast, transfer to Gubei Water Town, a comprehensive international tourist resort located at the foot of the Simatai Great Wall in Simatai Village, Gubeikou Town, Miyun District, Beijing. Visit the Simatai Great Wall (with round-trip cable car), which was built in the early years of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty and repaired and strengthened during the Longqing and Wanli periods. It stretches 5.7 kilometers with 36 watchtowers, and is known for its danger, density, uniqueness, ingenuity, and completeness. It is the only section of the Great Wall that retains the original appearance of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall and the only section in China open for night tours.
