Today, we will go to the airport and take a flight from Xi’an to Guilin, a city famed for its stunning karst landscapes and serene natural beauty. Known for having “the finest mountains and rivers under heaven,” Guilin offers a perfect escape into nature with its limestone peaks, winding rivers, and charming countryside vistas.

After breakfast, depart from your hotel in Guilin and drive approximately 2.5 hours to Longsheng, where the magnificent Longji Rice Terraces await. Dedicate your day to exploring Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Today, immerse yourself in the park’s essence, Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountain. Marvel at the unique pillar-like formations, sculpted by time and erosion. Embark on a 30-minute shuttle ride to the Bailong Elevator, a thrilling 335-meter ascent to the top of Yuanjiajie. Here, explore the No.1 Bridge in the World and behold the Hallelujah Mountains, made famous by the movie Avatar. At last, take the cable car down the mountain and get back to the hotel to recover your whole body from the day’s tiredness.

Today the ship will sail through the splendid Three Gorges. The first is the Qutang Gorge, which is only eight kilometers long but encompasses the most precipitous parts of the gorges. Then the ship will sail into the beautiful Wu Gorge. An excursion between two to three hours long along its tributary, the Shennv Stream, by sampan is arranged for you today. Afterwards, the ship will continue to sail into heavily-shoaled Xiling Gorge.
If you are interested in Chinese calligraphy and history, the optional excursion to White Emperor City is a nice choice. See 10-yuan banknote scenery, calligraphy inscriptions dating back centuries, and a famous fortress.

After finishing the excursion, the cruise ship company will drive you to the Three Gorges Tourist Center in Yichang City. Our local guide will meet you there and escort you to the railway station for a bullet train ride to Shanghai(around 7hrs). Upon your arrival, our guide in Shanghai will greet you and transfer you to your hotel.
